Grouse Mountain Vancouver BC
This is on the mountain 3000ft above sea level. The "hill" at the back is another 1000ft up. We climbed that also. Notice how thick the rise at the back is with trees. It is wonderful how they grow practically on bare rock some of them. There are two girls to be seen in the picture. Puzzle find them.
Grouse Mountain Vancouver. Where we camped. X shows where we lit our fire & made our beds
On Crown Mountain Vancouver July 4th 20
4,500ft above sea level & above the clouds. On the peak of Crown Mountain. Just room to stand. A false step & I should have fell a thousand ft. A strong sun explains why I am frowning
[no annotation. Joe with snowball] Vancouver BC July 4th. 4000ft above sea level
You can look at this on a hot day. We only got this as the fog was coming. We had to hurry up to the top again
On Crown Mountain Vancouver
Another one showing a rift in the cloud bank. It was getting very close
[taken from the peak of Crown Mountain]
Castle Mountain Vancouver BC
The fog clearing you can just see the remains on the right of the picture. This was taken from the same place so you see how thick it was. The peak showing is Castle Mountain & the rock to the right is shaped just like a square castle. The camera reduces things so much. Everything with the naked eye looked immense
Joe just as he was setting out for the downward hike [no annotation]
