| The gang. Dont we look an awful lot. Hallam is on the left with the cigarette. I am in need of a shave. The man sitting down with the pipe was born at Bermuda, but the mountains and forests called him to Canada. He gets his living chiefly by trapping and fishing. His chief object in coming up for us was to go trapping in spare time. He knows every inch of the B.C. coast & is a real man of the woods. The fat man in the centre has worked has way all over the world. Sid was [---] a long job for him | Dont put this in the album. I had just taken a picture at 100 ft focus and and forgot to alter it to 8 ft for this one. The other fellow is a young lumberjack |

| The fellow I told you was born at bermuda had a camera there but all his pictures were spoiled throughlight getting in. This is the best one he had. I wonder if you can pick me out of the group | This is one taken on that raft I told you we were marooned on for 11 hrs, waiting for the boat. I am sorry this is no good as there are some typical lumberjacks in the group I would like you to have seen. They needed a lot of persuasion before they would consent to be photographed. Some refused altogether and are looking on round the corner of the hut. |

| A good picture taken at camp. It is the same logger having his hair cut on another picture. He is getting a log in & to appreciate the job you want to see how that log is turning over & over. He is stepping pretty lively all the time | This is a boom of logs ready to be towed to the sawmill. I stood at one end of it so it is not all showing. |

| This is a shingle mill. Shingles are used for roofing & are cut out of short ends of cedar. You will notice the cedar in the water rteady to be cut. This mill is close to where I am living (presumably at the camp). I took it on a dull day so it is not bad | a small boom |
