Both place and timing of this baptism is suitable and William named his first son John (after his father).  William did not use any other of the above forenames but these are all boys except one, whereas William's children were all girls except John.

 

The next nearest baptism of a William was at Charlbury 12 miles away, but this William remained in Charlbury to baptise chldren there.

 

It will be assumed at present that William came from Bloxham

Although the marriage at Burford is nearest, the burial of William there probably rules this out. Moreover, William was of Minster Lovel (4 miles from Burford) not Broughton and Mary Walker came from Kempsford which is 8 miles even further away. Also no burial of Elizabeth has been found before the baptism of a second Elizabeth at Broughton (except one at Spelsbury about half way between Burford an Broughton).

 

The other two marriages seem too far away, and there is a possible burial of the Arrow William at nearby Bidford.  No conclusion at present is possible
